Discover the Dune du Pilat
This impressive mountain of sand south of Arcachon is Europe’s highest dune. Its dimensions are remarkable: around 2.9 km long, 616 metres wide and 106 metres high, with a shape that changes over time.
The dune shelters a fragile protected ecosystem. Access is possible:
- Via the staircase near the car park.
- From Plage de la Corniche.
